A Good Haircut

by Jodi Ordway
(Stryker Ohio U.S.)

I have naturally curly hair and have yet to find a stylist that can offer me a good cut. Either its to heavy on the ends and I end up with a horrible bob, or I end up too short because they had to fix the length for the 2nd or 3rd time. HELP!!!

Basic info and communication

Collect the basic information by determining your face shape, texture and what style you looking for, then select a style from websites or beauty magazines that work with what you already got.

If you choose a style that's need too much changing, then you become a slave to your hair in the morning or worst, you get something that won't work.

Talk to your stylist! Taking a photo of a haircut you like is a good start and help to start a discussion. A word like choppy hair cut could mean anything from razor haircut, precision cutting, slicing, texturizing, etc... Keep it simple at start and then go in detail together with your stylist.

Last important part: Choose your stylist wisely! You want someone listen to your needs and not someone busy that want to cut your hair in 10 min and done with it!
