Advice For Below Shoulder Lenght Layered Hairstyles

My hair is the most difficult length ever. Its not shoulder-length short, and it isn't long either. Its right below my collar bone, brown, and has a few layers. It's pretty hard to deal with because I want long hair but my hair also takes a while to grow...
I am tempted constantly to cut my hair shoulder-length again. If you are someone like me with this hair type... here's some advice of what you can do to tame and love your hair;
Tight Curls - Try doing tight curls in your hair, if your face is long it may not fit your face, if your face is round or heart-shaped, medium sized or small this may be the hairstyle perfect for you. Careful! Curling your hair may be difficult especially with short hair, try different curling techniques so you don't get the goldy-locks look.
Straightening your hair at this length.. is pretty dull. TRUST ME, when I straighten my hair and it isn't long, it doesn't fit me right, it isn't very stylish and not very flattering. If you chose to straighten your hair however, I think you should pick the RIGHT outfit that goes with the hairstyle.
Braids! - Braids can be cute, but is your hair thick or thin? If its thick then most likely your braids will come out huge and they don't look too nice. Just imagine THICK AND HUGE short braids .. not very fun. If your hair is fair, or thin, braids would be perfect for you if your face is petite. If your face is too long try braiding your hair with extensions. You have to have the right face and outfit for your hairstyle.
A hairstyle for a long face - How about an updo? This is perfect for a dinner outing, a movie or just any trendy formal hangout. The tip though is to have curls in your hair. The updo is a lot more prettier and elegant with curls. Try buying some cute pins or twisites you can place in your hair to make it look all the more lovely.
BEANIT - "BEANIT" is just short for beanie it. Waving out your hair with a crimper (or straightener, possibly a curling iron too if you do it right) for the long sides of your hair and putting the rest in a slouchy beanie is a perfect hairstyle for almost any outing! It's laid back, and cute for any face and outfit.
The bun Don't do a high bun or even a bun at the middle of your head! Try a side bun. Kind of in the place you'd put your side ponytail.. just put a bun in replacement.
The messy look - There are a ton of messy looks for medium length hair JUST look on Google.
Please look on Google for these types of hairstyles listed.. I'm afraid I most likely wasn't too specific and might have been hard to understand. Just look on Google for: messy looks for short hair, buns for short hair and how to put a beanie on short hair etc.
Your welcome!!
