Ash brown hair with green highlights

I colored my hair to a med ash brown to get rid of the red and orange looking highlights in my already brown hair. Now those highlights have turned green. What can I do to get rid of this dreaded swampy green?

Adding darker ash on highlighted hair is a little risky. The highlighted strands not been filled correctly. If you use a natural brown base -ex.level 5- or two level darker than your hair, then it will solve the problem.
