Can you iron hair that has been treated with henna?

I have been thinking of hennaing my hair, but i've got one problem. My hair is a bit on the curls/wavy side, I been iron it for 6 months and I'm very happy with the results. So if i put henna in my hair will it be affected by the daily ironing?
