Coppola Keratin Treatment Works!

I got Coppola done by an experienced and well-trained stylist. The treatment has made my hair extra-soft and silky! The Coppola i had done had no "-hyde" ingredients and did not make me choke or cough (because there were no fumes).

Occasionally, my eyes stung a bit, but that was during the initial blow-drying, which happens with a lot of products when they are heated. I get my first wash done on Monday, but for now i am completely satisfied. Please do your research in advance and make sure that your stylist is certified. When done correctly, the treatment actually makes your hair stronger! also, the product is natural. It does not permanently chance the structure of your hair, as does a perm. Once it grows out after a few months, your hair should be back to completely natural.

I have the sincerest sympathy for those who have not had a good experience with the BKT treatment. If the product is not professionally manufactured nor applied correctly, the product can cause severe hair breakage. And people sometimes have allergic reactions to the ingredients. so please do research on your personal allergies.

Basically you get what you pay for. make sure you get, for example, the real Coppola, with no formaldehyde nor irritants to the scalp.

God bless. I wish everyone the best of wishes with this product. Bless those of you who have lost hair. it will grow back, if god wills it. After all, hair is excess (really) dead tissue from your body. If any product causes breakage or damages the structure of your natural hair, new growth from the roots will cancel the damaged hair out.

Sorry for the book! lol.
Thanks for reading!

Make Them Accountable!
by: Anonymous

Of course Coppola works for some but not ALL and people should be aware of the risks! I researched the salons and went to a top-notch, nationally ranked salon that does a lot of them. Of course I called Coppola to make sure it was certified just in case. I am neurotic about these things. But it can happen and consumers need to be made aware of the risks prior to the treatment.

Coppola is deceptive in the fact that they say this can't happen and when it happens they're not surprised. This treatment is still relatively new as far as treatments go. It's been around for a few years and will be gone in a few guaranteed. And sorry but that slight stinging you felt was the formaldehyde. They don't have to list anything under 2% but 2% is 2% so don't say that it was free. None of these treatments are formaldehyde free.

Coppola is making a big mistake in offering this treatment to just any salon. Its no longer considered an elite service and many salons I called are no longer carrying it because one lost client to them is one too many.

I'm glad that you had a good experience. You were lucky and so are many others but trust me, there are many people just like me and I am going to make sure that someone pays dearly for what they did to my hair.

Success story
by: Cathy

I had this treatment done in May. I absolutely loved it. My hair stylist had just gone to a show in Vegas and I was her "guinea pig" and she did it for free. It has lasted over three months and I was thinking about doing it again in November before I go to Cancun. Now I am thinking maybe not after reading all these horror stories. I feel lucky I still have my hair!!! I didn't have to wear a mask and I didn't smell any horrible odors. The worst part was having to wait 3 days before washing my hair.

GET MSDS SHEETS NOT ALL NATURAL
by: Hairstylist

Ask for the MSDS sheet from Coppola. It is absolutely NOT "all natural" I assure you. I am looking at the sheet. It does contain Aldahyde. If you did not smell any odor, it is because your stylist was smart enough to turn the flat iron slightly below 450 degrees. Some of these stories are completely user error and some are allergic reactions. I can't understand why the people that have had good experiences with this product cannot fathum that, even done correctly, the possible problems with these products. Going to a stylist is much like going to a doctor. There are good ones and bad ones. When you go to the doctor these days you have to take control and be your own advocate. Ask questions, know what they are giving you, understand side effects to drugs, seek other opinions, do research. Salons are no different. Some stylist are proactive and ask questions and inform you. Some do not. You must ask questions. Some are just shuffling people through to make a dollar and some really want to help people and have integrity and believe in what they are doing. Most stylist are as ignorant as they client is about what is in what they are using. I cannot believe these companies are even allowing stylist to use these products unless they have done extensive classes. I am so sorry you ladies are having these problems. I hope you find a good reputable stylist that will help you nurse your hair back to health. They are not that easy to find.

by: Frizz Girl

I had the coppola treatment and both times it was done by a national chain. I had some hair loss the first time but the 2nd time was worse. This product causes hair loss and balding.
