Coppola Treatment - Concerned with applying heat
No one is saying that there aren't good or bad results from this product. I have seen both. As a stylist I am concerned with the effects of applying heat.
TO THE CONSUMER: If we as stylist are told to take precautions using this product, why are you sitting in the chair completely unprotected (eye patches, mask)? Can anyone tell me what happens to any form of formaldehyde when 450 degrees of heat is applied? Let's be clear about the profession. There are stylist who LOVE what they do, then there are stylist whose goal is to make money anyway they can.
I would urge you as a consumer to listen, investigate and use common sense. If there are stylist questioning a product that has GREAT money potential....why aren't you! Seriously are we willing to sacrifice health for straight hair.
Here are some ingredients to look at: formaldehyde/aldehyde. And just so you will know, formaldehyde is a fixative- IOW's plastic coating/sealant. Formaldehyde in no way shape or form conditions the hair.

I fully agree. The whole discussion is not about how BKT perform, but what it does to your health! As hairdressers we should be more concern about our own health in salon. Consumers are only exposed once or twice a year, while we perform these chemical treatments almost every week. Its like having X-ray every week at hospital.
