Curly Hair - Don't Shampoo - Just Use Conditioner!!

I went to a very exclusive hair salon in NYC which especially caters to clients with curly hair. Their recommendation (aside from trimming regularly and layering) was to NEVER shampoo. At first I was horrified - NEVER shampoo? YUCH!! But people with curly hair produce less oil on the scalp and shampooing actually strips the hairs ability to curl and instead becomes frizzy. But I took their advice. I rinse my hair (every other day or when the curls become frizz) and only use Pantene conditioner. Then I partially dry my hair (below shoulder length) with a diffuser and let my hair dry naturally. The health of my hair has greatly improved (virtually no split ends) and the curls are phenomenal!
