Curly to sleek straight

My hair is asymmetrical. My right side is right at shoulder length and my left side is an inch or so above the right side. I always go for the sleek straight look even though my hair is really curly.
What I do is I wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner that is for straight hair. I blow-dry it straight and then use a straightener to help keep it super straight.
It looks really good but you need to condition it alot if you straighten it everyday.
