Embrace the Curls - This is How I Did It

Well I have really curly hair! And so does my friend Carmen. Her hair is almost afro like, very thick, it has alot of ringlets and its frizzy!
I went to a hair dresser, like 3 years back. I used to straighten my hair all the time! But when she said she had to almost cut it all off, I freaked.
I completely ruined the back of my head! My mom and many others said, my curly hair was very cute. It was little to late for me to realize that. Now I HAVE to embrace my curly hair. And this is how I did:
1. Frizz control (can be very cheap! economy sucks right now!)
2. Hair Spray, instead of spraying it really close, kind of hold the bottle away from the spot you want, then spray away!
3. Braid it when wet, and then let it dry that way, even though slightly bad for hair, its takes away some curl and might somewhat tame it :)
4. Don't Straighten! - Realize, curly hair is blessing! If you look at Wedding pictures or prom pictures almost ALL the best hairstyles have some curl to it! Curly Hair isn't a Curse!
5. If you want to do on your own, no products. I cant guarantee this will work 100% for you, but it works for me. While your hair is drying natural every 10 minutes or so maybe less, pull a comb through it, when it gets almost dry, use a brush!
And "Embrace The Curls" while you still can. Trust me it sucks to see your hair get almost all cut off!
