Formaldehyde is a type of Aldehyde

(Tampa, Florida)
Formaldehyde (IUPAC name methanal) is a chemical compound with the formula H2CO. It is the simplest aldehyde.
Low molecular weight aldehydes, e.g., formaldehyde and acetaldehyde, have sharp, unpleasant odors; higher molecular weight aldehydes, e.g., benzaldehyde and furfural, have pleasant, often flowery, odors and are found in the essential oils of certain plants. Aldehydes are used for the manufacture of synthetic resins, e.g., bakelite, and for making dyestuffs, flavorings, perfumes, and other chemicals. Some are used as preservatives and disinfectants.
If you are to use these products containing Aldehyde,
please be very carefull; handle with great care!
Ventilate, use gloves, and avoid getting on scalp.
It is the Formaldehyde that "fixes" damaged hair...the Keratin is marketing! Brazil...exotic..."latinas" are more beautiful...and so on.
Anything that is sold from south Florida beware. Do research and notice almost all "keratin treatments" are sold from that area.
