Got My Brazilian Keratin Treatment Last Week

I receive Allure monthly and been very familiar with Brazil I read the article with an open mind. Yes, the Brazilian products were never meant to be used in U.S. because of regulations. I wanted to do the treatment but was very apprehensive so I did a lot of research. I asked some of my Brazilian friends and probably read every comment on the web regarding the treatment.

Finally, I got my BKT treatment last week with amazing results in a salon in NYC. I did not experience any burning, or fumes. The product that the stylist used only contained 2% formaldehyde. She explained the process step by step, showed me the bottle and mixed it right in front of me. I cannot wait to get the next treatment.

This treatment can be the best thing that you can do for your hair but you need to research until you find a salon that uses the safest products achieving amazing results.

The product used on my hair is Brazilian keratin by Marcia Texeira.

i think the Brazilian keratin is making me sick

I am a stylist in Florida I've been doing the brazilian keratin treatment since last year, I just want people to be aware that every time I do alot of them in a small time frame I get a upper respitory problem and last time I got psumonia I have stopped doing them because I am afraid that they are the reason or that would be a big coincedence.Just be aware if you start to get sick and never had those problems before it is probobly something new you are doing
Atlanta Salons?

Do you know of any atlanta salons that offer the BKT. I saw a reference on the net to Vis a Vis, but when I went in person the guy was not sure if it really worked on African American hair. He said he had done about 5 and that no one had come back as of yet. And although the person I saw posted on the net seemed the love the results, the stylist at VisAVis did seem impressed with the initial results. He said that of the 5 black people he had done, it just looked like a blowout when they left.
