This is how my hair is supposed to look, but about to this girls ear, maybe a little longer..?

I got my hair cut yesterday, and it's nothing how I wanted it to look. My hair is very wavy and thick, but now it's thicker and isn't poofing out, it clings onto the left side of my head, and the right side is slightly poofy. I thought about straightening it, but wouldn't that make it worse? Also, my haircut person cut my bangs so they are thin, volumized, and sweeped to the right side of my head. D: I don't know how to style my hair.

bad cut?

It takes time to get use to a new haircut. Could it be a bad haircut? Your problem sounds more like a bad haircut.

Next time you wash your hair, towel dry and stand in front of mirror. Part your hair and set your fringe away, so you can only see the sides. Run your fingers through your hair on both sides and let the hair fall naturally. Look closely and see if both sides been cut in same way. If not then you should go back to that salon and ask the same stylist to correct the cut or add more layers to make it appear thinner on sides.

Ok now i've had the same problem but its ok just needs work....now you wanna check and see if both sides are even if not go to a really good hairstylist and get them cut evenly....then to get both sides having lots of body use some mousse or volume products...and probably get it colored like highlights or maybe the tips of your hair....you cant always have your hair looking the way you want to so just play with and =D
