Honey blonde highlights changing to ash highlights?

by Cat
(UK)

I've previously had my naturally mid-brown hair highlighted with some soft honey colours, which I liked, but didn't look quite right.

I've since had a colour consultation and I was told my skin was cool, and really I should have ash highlights.

Will mixing the two go wrong?!
Thanks!

honey blonde to ash highlights

I, would never go the ash tone way especially since it was highlighted with honey. You are bound to get discolored either green or purple. Ash tones have a greenish cast already and are best to stay away from. Just a neutral blonde is better for cool complexions that is neither too red or too ashy just neutral..

I, do not believe ash tones do any skin tone justice ash is dull drab and as stated greenish casts do come through. Ash tones may even look grey, best to stay away.
