How do I style a new short layered hair cut?

I just got my hair cut and colored and I have a problem... I DON'T KNOW HOW TO STYLE IT!!! I have always had long hair, and I got it cut into a short layered bob. I don't have any pics yet...but does anyone have any sight-unseen advice??

Texture look

If you have layers then think of volume, texture and movement. You can lift your layers at the root and add fullness and volume or you can set them for curls. Like to change to a texture look? Just blow-dry your hair in different directions and style the ends using wax. If you have layers around your face, then curve the ends inward for a yet another look.

Go natural - If you have a medium hair type that won't need much styling products for control, then just apply a small amount and let it dry naturally and then move your fingers through for final touch.

Experiment and don't look for complex styling options. Look for simple ways to look exciting!!
