How to Style a Bad Haircut?

by Maria Kae
(St. Cloud, MN USA)

Hey everyone! A quick summary.... I let me friend who is in cosmetology school touch my hair, 3 months ago. So when I went to put a little color in it, it did not work. I ended up going in, and getting a treatment. They looked at my hair, and almost start crying. It was so damaged/dead that they had to cut most of it off. I went from chin-length hair, that I could somewhat deal with to this. I have found myself crying almost daily over how horrible it looks. I am avoiding public, and looking for any ideas on how to style it! Please!

Tweak it
by: NF

Your only choice is to tweak the style to its best. First talk to your hairdresser and ask for advice. If that option is out, then start tweaking the style by experiment. Don't let a bad hair cut stop you from enjoying your life. Be creative. Ask friends for opinion. Change eye makeup to attract the attention to face rather than hair. Use your imagination. Drop a line and let us know what you did!! Wish you luck

Turn it into a texture hairstyle

The best way to deal with such problem is to make it appear as if it was designed like this on purpose. I know ...Who would do such thing! But try to make the best out of it.

A semi bed-head hair cut is not far from what you have. With placing some hair color on some strands and some texturizing on sides and bangs, you can turn this head to a modern choppy hair cut with a funky look.

You might not like such haircut, but it's better than a disaster. I'm sure a good senior stylist will be able to re-design it slightly so it can look professional.

You don't have to cut it shorter, but only adding texture and removing small bits here and there. Use texturizing products like wax, gels, pastes to create separation and create random but defined shapes.

Look at keira's head and get the idea. It can be done!! Not 100%, but enough to make you feel good about yourself.

Work with your hair and let it grow and change your style to follow the growth every 6 weeks and you will get back what you lost in no time while looking great.

Good Luck
