It took some time but finally I love my curls!

Cursed! That's what I felt throughout high school because of the raggedy mop that was growing atop my head. Everyone else had straight, silky hair, and no matter how much I stretched it, and tied it tightly back when still wet, it would inevitably become curly and even worse, FRIZZY!
But then, quite by chance I discovered that my curls, when I don't constantly fiddle with them, are actually quite attractive. Soon I started experimenting with products and found that using fewer, better (not necessarily more expensive) products had the best results.
I avoid mousse - it's too stiffening and leaves a residue. These days I'm using a supermarket product called "So Curly" - a little bit massaged through my wet hair achieves the desired, soft, natural look every single time. If I run out of my product, I sometimes just apply a leave in treatment to prevent frizz, and voila, also perfect results.
My advice is to experiment with different products, and find which product suits you best. Don't shampoo your hair daily - in fact, once or twice a week will do. Rinse and condition your hair every day though, and apply small amounts of product to keep those curls in shape. And throw away all your hair brushes. Keep only a single medium-tooth comb in shower to comb out the knots while you're conditioning. Rinse, towel dry, and use the product immediately after you take the towel off.
Trust me, you'll look fabulous!
