Keratin Treatment destroys lungs

I am a stylist that suffers severe asthma because of this product. It has destroyed my ability to breathe. The disease is now killing me, and the treatment for the disease will probably cause a stroke or heart attack before I get a deep breath again. This is my fifth go round with reacting to the Brazilian Keratin Treatment.
My only suggestion is to be very cautious with products that seem to do the same thing, but don't have a formaldehyde ingredient. They like to add "silesquianones" instead, as they are not formaldehyde, but when heated to high temperatures, they become formaldehyde and do genetic damage too. One treatment is all it takes to change life forever, and your health can be in the garbage from it.

Brazil has outlawed it, but the USA won't. Some FDA we have. Worthless at everything and anything they do.

I'm sorry to hear about yr health because of the keratin treatment. I'm a hair stylist as well and have experienced a chronic cough and at times can't really take a deep breath or I'll experience a push in my chest that forces me to cough. My product is going in the trash!!! And I have a co worker who is experience asthma like symptoms and can hardly take a deep breath. She Works less now because all fumes bother her! 
I can see the fumes going up in the air, obviously exceeding the allowable level by a huge amount in spite of the vacuum system.
Dear Robert Ray of Fort Lauderdale. I had the exact same thing happen to me but have not been to a specialist yet i did about 4 treatments and within 3 weeks i found myself not being able to breath right. I kept going for walks in the early morning when the air was cool to try to breath just got worse went to the hospital doctors did not know what was going on. Had to go back to hospital. Use inhaler and cough med. but my voice keeps coming and going and it feels like i still have sand in my throat. At first like the doctors did not know what it was from then i realized it was the keratin treatments. Toxicology is the only ones who can really know what it going on and the way to treat this still waiting to see a specialist. I have like an asthma. Never had lung issues in my life. This is scary. I hope this is not permanent. 
I had a keratin treatment 6 weeks ago. About 2 weeks after I got it, I started coughing. I have now been coughing for 4 weeks. I am on inhalers and all cough medicines. Nothing helps. It is a dry annoying cough, especially when I take a deep breath. I hope this in not permanent.
