Nice and Easy Sticky Hair Residue
I have medium length baby fine blonde hair. I had been having it colored as I am graying (59 yrs young). I thought I would save some money and go back to Nice and Easy that I used in the past. I used neutral med blonds shade. I left it on my roots longer per directions. Then I followed with the color seal conditioner that comes with it. Bad mistake.
I have a wax like coating where I left it on the longest (crown bangs roots) and I washed it 5 times with clarifying shampoo hardly helped. Then I took some suggestions off this site. I washed it with Dawn liquid, the one I had already with Olay in it, twice and rinsed with the hottest water I could stand. Then I poured a cup of Real Lemon bottled juice diluted with a cup of warm water and let it sit for a few minutes. Rinsed with more hot water then followed up with Aussie 3 min miracle. It didn't wash my color out and today is the first day I don't have to wear my hair in a bun! It isn't 100% gone so I will do it again tomorrow.
I am going to ask my hairdresser who is also my friend what brand I should use to avoid this mess! I also noticed that a hot hair dryer makes it worse like it is activating something unseen on my hair! I think it is in the dye itself as never happened when I used the golden blond shades. I don't think it is build-up or fungus as I don't use products often and the fungus theory doesn't make much sense in my climate either. Hope this helps someone else.
