The trick is uneven layer haircut as base, so if you don't have the right haircut it would be difficult to achieve the look. As for styling, the secret is all in feathering. You need to create a wispy and soft look with lots of movement. When blow-dry, try to use your hands and not brushes and shape the individual hair strands into different directions. Finishing products like waxes and pomades are essential part of it. Find the one that works for your hair texture and use as little as possible mostly on hair ends (Avoid scalp area). For example you can sweep some of your longer layers onto your face and over one eye for a more rocky style!
