Salon Brown Gone Wrong...

by Tay
(Winchester, VA)

I was always a natural brunette (with the exception of the 1st few yrs. of my life). My natural color has ranged from ash to golden and has almost always had natural blonde highlights too.

I went to the salon and requested a neutral chocolate brown. It came out dark ash brown and washed my fair complexion out. My complexion is nearly cool except for my golden freckles and peachy coloring across the cheek bones.

This past week I updated my color. Instead of touching up the neutral color from the past time I went, she made it golden brown. She didn't tell me till afterwards. After washing my hair twice with the recommended salon shampoo and conditioner it has an orange cast at the roots. I almost wanted to cry.
Why does my hair color always have to turn out bad? I thought brown hair color was suppose to be simple.
