Short Fine Hair - Hair Extension Solutions?

My mum has always has very fine hair and she has always been embarrassed going to any hairdressers because of this. She has been told that by keeping it short it will appear thicker but she doesn't really like it short and she has currently had it cut to just above chin length and layered through the top and was wondering about clip-in hair extensions to thicken it up.

She would love to resolve this problem as she has always been very low on confidence because of this. And i would really like to help her, what do you think?

I would say chin-length hair cut is short enough and she really don't need to go any shorter in order to make it appear thicker.

Hair extensions normally put a lot of stress and added weight to hair and I normally advice against it specially for those with fine and fragile hair. It really depend on how strong her hair is, otherwise it won't hold and will damage the hair. Clip-in extensions are not really a long term solution.

I suggest use of products to enhance the existing style rather than hair extension. I use Volumactive shampoo and masque from Kerastase and for styling Thickening spray from Bumble & Bumble when using blow-dryer.
