The Truth About Keratin Complex Smoothing Treatment
(Toronto)
The first couple of posts were bashing Keratin Complex. Don't listen to people who don't know what they are talking about.
Keratin Complex uses ALDEHYDES. Aldehydes are in EVERYTHING. They are preservatives. They are in chewing gum, on fruit to keep it shinny. Aldehydes are even in perfumes. So what happens when FORMAL is activated with an aldehyde? It becomes dangerous and damaging to hair.
There are FORMAL and ALDEHYDES in Keratin Complex. The reason why Formaldehyde is never activated is because of the liquid accelerator Benzoquinol! Benzoquinol is what is stinging these peoples eyes. All Benzo is is an accelerator (that is exclusive to Coppola) that pulls all of the keratin treatment into the cuticle( whatever it can hold) and the rest lies on top of the cuticle and gets burned off when flat ironing.
The reason why you are seeing smoke come off your iron is because you don't know how to apply the product properly, go get re-trained. You are putting too much treatment on the hair.
Why do you think the product costs for the Brazilian Keratin and Japanese straighteners are so low? Because they do not have advanced technologies in the product, its full of chemicals that are damaging and breaking bonds in the hair. Brazilian keratin and Kerasmooth have 1-3% keratin protein. Keratin Complex has 42% keratin protein.
So if you don't know what you're talking about then don't post at all.
