Tight Curly Hair - I Dont Know What To Do?

I have really tight curls and when i section my hair one part is really curly and the other wavy. As the day progress both sides get curly but i hate it when it wavy/tight curls. My other problem is that the top of my hair doesnt curl up. EVER! WHAT SHOULD I DO! I AM THIS CLOSE TO GETTING RID OF MY BEAUTIFUL CURLS! PLEASE HELP!!!!
