Whats more important - Straight hair or your body?

Last Saturday I had a fellow co-worker try the Coppola Keratin straightner. I feel partially responsible because I told her she needed to try the Brazilian (NATURAL) hair straightner. She currently uses the CHI.
Long story short she used the product. I saw the client before and after. (Granted it did come out beautiful) Both of them complained of burning eyes. When I saw my co-worker in the back room she said her eyes burned and I saw her nose running. I went home and looked up the ingredients... Alydehyde (a form of formaldehyde).
Now I have been a stylist for 28 years. We used to put 2 formaldehyde tablets in our drawers, like a dry sanitizer..until they found it to be very dangerous..
Don't we breathe enough fumes hair-sprays, colors, bleach, etc... Shame on these manufactures who claim things are Natural! I will also bet the Sales Reps have no idea whats in it!
I realize that there are traces of formaldehyde in some beauty products (nail polish etc...) but only small traces.
As for the stylists who continue to use the product...obviously they aren't in tune with their body or they haven't been doing hair long enough to worry about it.
