If you have an oval face shape, then you shouldn't be worry. If you don't like your layers, then they are probably out of shape and need to be updated. Best layers for your face would be one length layers. If you have a small face, then you will look better with short hair by avoiding extra long hair that overpowers your beautiful face. If you still have doubt, then use imaging software as suggested. You can read about it here.

I have always had really long hair until about two weeks ago. I cut about 12 inches off. it's naturally curly and i have a round face with a point-ish chin also and it looks amazing. it's like a curly A-Line. I just posted a page about it. (here: Short curly hair)
I also had my hair permanently straightened to calm down the curls and it totally made my hair look healthier and shinier, because i didn't have to use so much product to keep my curls under control. The cut and the straightener are the best things i've ever done with my hair. and i totally recommend it to anyone who has super curly hair and has to use tons of product to keep it far from frizzy. So i say GO FOR IT!
