Any tips for making hair grow faster?

I used to have really long hair, but last summer I cut it, and now I want to grow it out again. Are there any suggestions, tips or tricks for making it grow faster?

Concentrate on your scalp. Shampoo only 2X a week, condition every day. Watch the amount of product that winds up on your scalp and limit that if possible. You want to maximize circulation and nourishment to the scalp and follicles, so get busy with cardio, good foods, and quality hair products. Remember to get enough water and rest too. The scalp is where it all happens.

I use the Nioxin products and have had great results. They're expensive, but extremely concentrated, so it does balance out cost-wise in the long run. They're also clean and leave no residue after cleansing which is important.

Avoid alcohol and smoking. You want to create a healthy, working machine that functions at it's maximum potential. A nice side effect is strong and fast nail growth too. As a guy, I have to cut mine every week as they grow quickly.

Good luck! I'm coming back fast after a short cut back in February. The wife badgered me into it and I was not happy with it at all. Everyone is now commenting on how fast it's growing, and as it has a lot of natural curl, it's actually longer than they think. :-D
