What Style is Best to Let Natural Color Grow Out ?

One month after my highlights. My hair has grown since then and for some reason it looks goldish-brown in this picture.

My hair is really long, and I'm thinking about cutting it short to remove most of the blonde highlights in my hair so I can more easily grow out my natural color.

My natural color is real ashy, one of my hairstylists called it "mousy" if that gives you any idea. No one has been able to match a color to my natural color, so I don't want to try coloring it anymore.

My question is, what type of hair cut would be best for me? And what is my face shape? And will cutting it short help my natural color grow in?

Growing hair to natural color

The best way to grow out your hi lites to its natural color (Other than cutting it off) would be using a color shampoo. There is one by Artec L'oreal called Coco Bean that could work. Just shampoo your hair every other day.

You could also try temporary color (they won't change your natural color) - buy one light ash brown color, apply all over hair and leave on for ONLY 10 minutes and rinse off. Do this once per month and trim your hair every four weeks until the hi lites are all out.

Hey Ashley I see your photo you are beautiful. There really is no specific style that will grow hair faster It depends how fast your hair in general grows.

Your face shape is pretty much the same as mine between an oval and heart shape.
I have a wide forehead also nothing bad intended here us girl with wide foreheads are fun and beautiful and full of passion.

Anyway, As an example I cut my hair not long ago as well, although I color Layers like feathery or shaggy layers and some bangs if you are not opposed to that idea not straight across though more wispy. I got mine styled so I can wear it forward or back. That way I have more options.

I would stay away from blunt cuts as this would weigh your gorgeous hair down. sometimes salons use a computer they put your face on the computer and then add different styles this really helps so you know what looks good and you know you will like it.

Good luck if you do take the plunge to shorten.
