Keratin Complex by Coppola Use Aldehyde

There is another product called Keratin Complex that uses another derivative called aldehyde which is safer than formaldehyde used in Brazilian keratin treatment.
"The keratin protein complex is carried as a payload in an emulsion of water, silicones and very specialized fluids with a small fraction of aldehydes, which also act as fragrances and stabilizers....uses a specially formulated set of reactants that exactly polymerize to seal the keratin into the hair with NO EXCESS chemicals released into the air...
The hair stylist performing the treatment of the hair will not be affected by the evaporation of aldehydes or sulphurous fumes, leaving the hair well protected from the environment....
The formulation has no effluent aldehydes such as Formaldehyde that will affect the operators of the Clients."
Keratin complex treatment is known by many names including "Keratin Complex
Hair Therapy", "Keratin Smoothing Therapy", "Natural Keratin Smoothning
Treatment", "Brazilian Blow Dry" and also recently inappropriately as "Brazilian Blowout".
It is important to note that Coppola Keratin Smoothing
Therapy™ and Brazilian
Blowout™ are two different brands with different ingredients
and properties. The wrong choice could have impact on results.

The above video, just as so many have been saying "keratin complex
does not contain Formaldehyde" but they do contain Aldehyde. That
is in the same family of Formaldehyde. Though the chemical makeup is
different, it is the same family. So that is the companies way of skirting
the issue.
I have a MSDS sheet for "Brazillian Blowout" the name brand,
and it says its safe. They have confirmed that it does not contain any
of the Aldehyde families, and it doesn't say anything about wearing
a mask etc. One post stated that the MSDS sheet for Coppola keratin
complex, says wear a mask..??? why? what does that mean? So much controversy
over this product, actually all of the products.
I don't feel comfortable
using either one of them, and I invested alot of money in a product
that said to me it was safe... Is this too good to be true? Are these
two products really so different..I don't know what to think any longer....
Danger of aldehydes in Keratin Complex

IT is true that the aldehyde is safer than formaldehyde at room temperature. However, as this service requires a flat iron with a temperature of at least 450 degrees to be applied to the hair, this does release a toxic vapor. In fact, if you request the Keratin Complex MSDS sheet you'll find that they caution you to wear a breathing mask when performing the service as the mixture when subjected to heat can cause respiratory problems.

Stop using Aldehyde

If you are like us we got tricked into buying this new stuff, well it is just as bad if not worse. We used it for about 2 months now and all of my staff has been sick. One of my staff members got so sick she had to get medical attention. So just don't use it.The clients will complain of sore throats burning eyes (so will your staff). They say this is safe? I don't think so. They also say if you get the fact sheet from them which they don't want to give to you when you ask I WONDER WHY???? I can tell you for it is a scam and it can make you sick, READ THE BOTTLE IT does not even have the ingredients on it. But if and when you get the sheet it says WEAR a MASK AND USE PROPER VENTILATION and this is safe? I don't think so. Oh and when you get the fact sheet look up on line all of the information on the ingredients OH BOY is this some mix for trouble.
I am no longer using any of these types in my salon for I want to see my staff happy and healthy with there families. SO tell your distributors to get the real facts when they come in and try to sell us things that can get us sick. SO don't get fooled any more buy the quick buck you can make from these processes for you wont be able to spend that quick money when you are dead from the poison gases they omit.

I had the Keratin Complex Coppola done last week in dSalon PC FL and it is great. Washed yesterday for the first time and did a quick blow dry to find smooth, no frizzzzz hair. It is a little shocking because usually I would have to apply heat, CHI, curler, etc. to get rid of the frizz but not now. I am more shocked by that than the actual fact my hair is straight. I would recommend it. It cost 300 and you get a full size shampoo and conditioner.

This is the best stuff out there. keratin complex by coppola, copied or is trying to, do the same.The brazilian keratin treatment lasts 6mts to 8mts I love it. The keratin complex doesn't come close.
Formaldehyde is what is needed to repair your hair... so if your hair is dry dull and big from frizz, get the real deal. Formaldehyde is in everything. More then you even know. Think about it all those perms, color, thermal relaxers and nail polish are harmless? If you believe that you should stay out of a salon.
Brazilian is not better than Coppola

The comment that the Coppola Treatments copied the Brazilians and don't last as long is ridiculous and obviously written by someone who is a stylist using the Brazilian products.The Coppola, which I have had done twice now, is so much better than Brazilians in so many ways. The Brazilians do not last 6 to 8 months, not even close. Both of mine barely lasted 2 months. I would never go back to getting the Brazilians (which I also had done twice) after having the Coppola Treatments even if the Brazilians were free. My hair was smoking after doing the Brazilians just like the other post stated. It was awful. Also after the Brazilians my hair would still frizz, and the Brazilians did not leave my hair silky the way the Coppola does.
I am not a stylist or anyone that has interest in marketing hair products, I am just a very curly and frizzy haired girl, that absolutely loves getting the Coppola done and having the most silky, straight, shiny and FRIZZ FREE hair I have ever had.

We have gone through several of these keratin straighteners and this one is absolutely the best. No fumes and no burning. No thick film left on the hair that you can barely comb through and I've never seen hair so healthy. Definately highly recommended!Capolla Keratin Complex

The Capolla Keratin Complex is the absolute greatest product. My friend Allison had it done and her hair looked so amazing. I researched the different ones because I wanted healthy looking hair not damaged! I had it done and I love my hair, everyone now tells me my hair looks fantastic. It has been 3 months and it looks so good. I do use the Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner. You will love your hair if you have frizzy hair like mine. I will definitely get it done again when I need it.
